...... a school class photo of Rumford St. I
think we all look around 6 or 7 ...... I am 55, so I reckon it must have
been taken around 1959.

Dear Webmaister, their is some confusion over Rumford St 1959
school photo, I distinctly remember breaking my left arm 4 wks into my first
year at school, and the photographer placing me next to Mrs Gibson, to hide
my cast, the year therefore must be 1957. I also remember marching in
line from rumford st to Strathclyde Primary and I dont think the years match
up, I know you only act on the information you recieve, so this would make
Strathclyde Photo slightly ascew,we could`nt be at different schools, at the
same time anyway/ Names for Rumford St 1957, Back row,No1 Teacher, Mrs

I am one of 6 kids to Alex,& Ina Crawford. Born in Heron St,1952, moved to,
15 Colbert St,1953, Franklin St, in the sixties (cant give a date the
sixties did that to you). Moved to 121 Reid St, where my Da passed away, my
wee Maw, ended up in 78 Main St, I personally would like to thank you, on
behalf of the thousands upon thousands, who you' ve allowed to live the past
in the present, Actually Councillor George Redmond, should be organising
your Freeman of Brigton, Banquet as we speak. Keep up the good work.
Yours Davie"The Craw"Crawford. |
