Nov.2002. Extract from e-mail. Robert McAulay, Glasgow, Scotland,
".......I lived at 5 Fairbairn street circa 1963-66 and attended Dalmarnock Primary  school as a nipper.  I still live in Glasgow, Hillington, and often pass through Dalmarnock on the way to visit my parents who still live in Rutherglen.
The old pic of the corner of Dalmarnock Road & Fairbairn Street is where we lived. The shops on the corner would have been Wullie's Dairy and the fruit shop.
I have many many fond memories of a poor but happy childhood in Fairbairn street."
