Springfield Primany school was on the right and the red building right on
the corner was near to where Dalmarnock Parish Church once stood, that's where we were

Hey Wull: Another great picture of the neighbourhood. I am a wee bit
puzzled though, I remember the school being the length of Connal Street
and around Lily Street. Didn't the church used to go from Lily Street
around Springfield Road? with the main entrance to the church on
Springfield Road. Please tell me I'm not having a senior moment. Loved the
picture, the whole right hand side is all new to me. |

The school took up the whole of the south side of Connal Street and part
of the 'wee' boys playground wound right into Baltic Street. The girls
playground was in Lily Street and most of where the Community Centre now
is was where that playground was. Part the centre was where the old church
was but most of that spot was where the school itself was. |
