GlesgaPals official swallys III - VI

.....

After the GlesgaPals Swally II it became obvious that we had to look for a new venue,
one that had a private lounge that we could use.
Morrison's Bar around the corner in Clyde Street was suggested and agreed on.
We had GlesgaPals Swally III in Sept 2005.

.

Morrison's has proved a popular venue, the owner John and his staff have made us very welcome
and provided a light buffet at every Swally along with private use of the lounge.

.

People, from every corner of the globe, talking to each other,
finding long lost pals and making new pals.....aye Glesga Pals.

GlesgaPals song Sept 06

AN ODE TAE GLESGAPALS

The Glesga pals meet twice a year,
to have a wee chat and have a beer.
They meet at Morrisons Bar, doon by the Clyde,
they talk aboot old Glesga with great pride.

Theirs Wull the Webmaister playing his flute,
and wee AndyMo tapping his foot.
The singing and the dancing will start in a while,
and theirs oor Mary Jane with a laugh and a smile.

The Morrisons staff are a pure delight,
they make us some sarnies so we can have a bite.
We talk of things that have come and gone,
the half croon pint and of course, the pawn.

We have a wee toast to absent pals we remember with pride,
they will always be here, in the pub by the Clyde.
Chicago Bud came over from The States,
to see the old city and his old mates.
Strumming his guitar and singing with pride,
songs aboot Glesga by the banks o' the Clyde.

Theirs Charlie McDonald fae my auld school,
supports the Rangers, he's nae fool!
Oor Jamesy Boy, a writer and scholar,
trying so hard tae earn a dollar,

Theirs Bridgeton Anna, Mags anaw,
in their fine attire, they look so braw
Oh oor Norrie the man with the cash,
gets the drinks in as quick as a flash.

A pint of beer, a rum and coke,
and Eddie fae Irvine cracking a joke.
I'll say a fond farewell with a heart of pride,
till we meet again in the pub by the Clyde!
