After reading about Bridgeton Burns Club on this website one of my Glesga Pals
contacted me........
"....... Wull, I have my Aunt Annie Fraser's medal that she won in a
singing competition at the Bridgeton Burn's Club in 1904 aged
fourteen.
She died in the influenza epidemic in 1914 whilst
going steady with a fellow and making plans for their engagement party
when she took ill. The man' s name was R.S.McColl of the newsstand
fame!"
