.PiggeryBrae - wheelchair

.

Over the years we have raised lots
of money for various charities.
One charity event near home was
fund raising to get a local woman a wheelchair.....
.

Cambuslang and district Voluntary Care Club
40th anniversary dinner in St.Andrew's church Cambuslang

Local folk band PiggeryBrae were on hand to entertain and took the opportunity to present a brand new wheelchair to member Eileen Bryson.  Two of the PiggeryBrae members, Fergi & Kenny, help out at the club and found out that Eileen had been using the same wheelchair for fifteen years...every part had been renewed at some time!  We decided to raise money to get her a long overdue wheelchair and this was done by using the money received by playing at various venues throughout the district

Our thanks go to the members of these organisations whose donations to us ..got this wheelchair!
West Parish Church Rutherglen                         Larkhall Senior Citizens Club
Larkhall Congregational church                         Halfway & District Bowling Club
Carradale Golf Club...................( this is an interesting one.....local Cambuslang dentist Ian Robb now retired, plays the fiddle in PiggeryBrae and being a past captain of Carradale Golf Club got us this gig!
