Industry has arrived in Bridgeton but the tenements still dominate.

This painting was probably painted from a tenement window in Main St Bridgeton.

Hood Memorial Church
in Muslin Street, opened in 1892
and named after Pastor Robert Hood.
It closed in 1969 amalgamating with
Dalmarnock Congregational Church
in Dalmarnock Road

 

The building to the left of the church
was the Bethany hall
