Fairbairn Free
Church, Baltic Street |
.
cc 1966 Church is
situated in Baltic Street
opposite Fairbairn Street.....sadly now demolished.
|
.
This photo is amazing for me.........because I lived at 74 Fairbairn St,
corner close and from my bedroom window 2-up this was what I would
see everyday.
|
|
Along to the right of the photo was
tenements with a row of shops,
I remember Adam's chip shop
and Bob & Millie's dairy
|
To the left of the church, which I only remember as being closed, was the
dunny where we played football just about every night! Beyond the spare
ground is Albany Street and my old school, Dalmarnock Primary.
