Glasgow Police Constable
William Joyner

Present uniform adopted 1952

Jessie McPhee's "grand uncle" Bobby Blackburn taken in the thirties some time at she believes Richmond Park.
Whilst noting the very interesting well the type of which we knew so well (excuse the pun) and were prominent throughout Glasgow right into the sixties.
You will note also from his deformed body that Bobby had a history of rickets which was prevalent in the "good old days", brought on by nutritional deficiency.
